Headed up by Neil Smith, who joined SHG in 2008 the Health and Safety Team have a wealth of experience and knowledge across the housing stock and have an exemplary track record in ensuring employees, contractors and customers are kept safe.
Neil has worked as a Health and Safety professional for over 25 years and moved into social housing in 2008, he is a Chartered Member of The Institute of Safety and Health and as the Head of Safety for SHG he provides strategic health and safety leadership at all levels, working collaboratively across the group to champion health and safety to ensure Stockport Homes is compliant and people are safe.
I am very passionate leading a team to develop a strong H&S culture across the group structure. My main focus is creating a safe place to work, as the Head of Safety I am solutions focused, always looking for imaginative, innovative and efficient ways to promote the best possible outcomes. I lead by example to inspire my team to deliver their very best every day.
